FAW Jiefang released sales in the first seven months of 2024 recently. FAW Jiefang produced 154,590 trucks in the January-July period, up 2.39 percent year-on-year, and sold 168,269 complete trucks, rose 16.8 percent year-on-year. Of the sales, medium and heavy truck sales amounted to 136,948 units, up 12.6 percent year-on-year, occupied 26 percent of the market share, and topped the market share for many consecutive years.
In July, FAW Jiefang enjoyed strong sales and some significant achievements. The 60 millionth vehicle of FAW, as well as the 9 millionth truck of Jiefang brand, rolled off the production line on Jul 16. The new technological platform of FAW Jiefang J7 was released, which would bring breakthroughs in product performance. Jiefang J7 pioneering version TIR cross-border transport long-term test departed officially.
Besides, FAW Jiefang accelerated smart and green transition, supported hydrogen energy layout in R&D, industrial capacity, ecological, product, and delivered 40 new energy tractors to Hami, Xin Jiang, and handed over 1000 electric heavy tractors to major clients in Xinjiang, which would inject strong impetus into the high-level development of Xinjiang local logistical transportation.
As for overseas marketing, FAW Jiefang actively explored the market in southeast Asia and Africa, signed cooperative MOU with Indonesian famous logistic corporation to export 1,200 heavy trucks, and handed over 21 tractors to China Railway No.9 Zambia Business Center.
FAW Jiefang shouldered the sustainable responsibility, and enrolled the list of Top 100 China ESG Listed Companies for two consecutive years.
FAW Jiefang will further consolidate power to fulfill the sales target of 2024.
