On October 11, prior to the Paris Auto Show 2024, FAW Hongqi held a special media test drive event for the EH7 and EHS7 EVs in Paris.
Journalists from near 20 European automotive media, including Agence France-Presse (AFP), Le Journal de L'Auto, Auto Bild, and Motor1, test-drove the two models along the Palace of Versailles, Paris.
At the event, Liu Hongtao, the general manager of China FAW Group Import & Export, responsible for Hongqi overseas marketing, introduced the Hongqi brand’s history, user-centric brand concept, overseas achievements and layout in Europe, as well as the forward-looking technologies of the Hongqi EH7 and EHS7.
Mr. Giles Taylor, the vice president of Global Design and Chief Creative Officer of FAW Group, introduced the aesthetic design language of the two models, which blend the best of Eastern and Western cultures, showcasing breathtaking elegance.
The driving route travels through the Palace of Versailles, the town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, and the banks of the Seine River, experiences various types of roads, such as paved roads, unpaved rural roads, stone roads, narrow roads, as well as the busy traffic and narrow streets in Paris, which provides a stage to showcase Honqgi EH7 and EHS7’s extraordinary driving strength.
Equipped with the advanced technology of Hongqi TianGong electric platform of Hongqi, including high performance motor, IDCS adaptive dampers, the double front wishbone and rear multi-link suspensions, variable steering ratio, and speed-sensitive power steering, the Hongqi NEVs can offer drivers an exceptional handling experience.
The interior of the EH7 and EHS7 fully reveals Hongqi's profound accumulation in terms of comfort, especially the excellent tactile sensation of hand-stitched Nappa leather, and the tranquil experience provided by excellent NVH performance.
Hongqi will showcase EH7 and EHS7 at the Paris Motor Show 2024 on Oct 14, and officially kick off pre-sales of the two models in Europe.
Looking ahead, Hongqi plans to introduce at least 10 models in the European market, and collaborates with more partners to build extensive sales networks and service systems, and brand building.
